bride Is the granddaughter of Mrs Doris Fryer of Halton Manor and formerly of Acton Executive named for new 4H club by Elaine Donne The first meeting of the Rock a long Club Project Featuring Fruit was held on Saturday October at the home of Mrs McDuffe The club projects are sponsored by Women In across Ontario and the Rock a long Home- making club is lucky enough to be sponsored by the Rock a long W of Wellington County The two ladies for the turing Fruit club projects are Mrs Jean and Miss Helen Twelve mem were present with one visitor and at least five more girls expected to jo the club The Featuring Fruit project concerns different ways to serve fruit in our diet such as juices cooking fresh etc We will learn how to moke pies punch cookies and so on from fresh or dried fruits We will also learn the different varieties of each fruit nutritional value etc At our meeting we repeated the 4 H pledge and received our members phlets and supplementary sheets concerning the pro ject Election of officers then followed with Mary Ilindley again being elected as dent Evelyn as vice- president and Helen Ilindley as secretary Elaine was elected as press reporter and Shelley Spencer and Evelyn as tele phonists We then deliberated our club name and after many The Tuttis was chosen We reviewed the members pamphlets and sheets in eluding what requirements here are for the record books we keep Achievement Day will be on November in Guetph It was noted that our club is to make an exhibit for that day member will be required to make a one mln speech on a chosen fruit Origin of the
