62 Warehouse still in top spot It was a long time coming but the Acton Sabres got their second win of the season Saturday burying a sur prised Brampton squad In front of a good crowd at the arena The Sabres have been playing well lately but have been hurt by the inexperience of many of their players As the season progresses younger players are Im proving and it was only a matter of time before ft showed in the won loss record For the first time this season the Sabre defence was outstanding as they foiled many Chevy thrusts with their good and lough play around the net Robin Inscoes Job in nets was made cosier when the Sabres kept Brampton out from in front of the net Walker cores Brian Walker got the scoring started when he took a pass from Chapman and flipped it over the sprawled Brampton for the first goal of an eventual hat trick Art Currie followed with an unassisted effort to give the Sabres a lead after the first period a rare occurence for the team They have shown a tendency during the year to lose the first period and then play even in the last two frames Bramptons goalie Mark VanderMeer allowed two more goals in the second period before being replaced by Ken Dave counted goal number three getting off an offbalance shot and scoring in spite of being held on the play Wade Vlckery assisted on the warp lay marker Rifled Chapman rifled a shot from the blue line that went into the near corner of the net and Sabre scoring that sent VanDerMeer showers Spoil shutout Brampton spoiled net- minder Robin Inscoes bid for a shutout as they notched a goal by Rob
