holds a collection of old irons and kitchen implements used in pioneer times Halton Regional Musuem recently opened a new gallery showing the effects of the late Dr George Syer of Milton mounted a display of a ward robe belonging to Judge Kenneth now retired and acquired an editors desk once the pro perty of William McLean owner of the old Toronto World The new gallery upstairs In the museum Is devoted to a display of Dr Syers office ana operating equipment It includes cupboards full of Instruments and potions his medical books examining table and other accoutre ments from his office Dr Syer came to Milton In 1925 going Into partnership with Dr Hugh McColHn the old Farmers Building on Main St Later he moved his office to James St where he had built a home which Included a room for his prac tice He practised In Milton for SI years until his death In July The late physician was described as dedicated but possessing a good sense of humor Although his office was open seven days a week he still found time to sit down and talk Born at Cavan near Peter borough Dr a graduate of the University of Toronto He did his internship at the Hamilton General Hospital The wardrobe given by Judge Langdon who was appointed to the bench In 1944 is displayed in the courtroom which has been reconstructed upstairs at the museum The curator and a group of volunteers from Museum viewed the two
