School Consultative Committee on Education three years More recently he was a member of tho Credit Valley Conservation Authority for three years He was treasurer of Trinity United church Acton for two years He was a member of Walker Lodge he was a charter member of the Acton Ys Mens club and held various offices as well as that of president He was an avid golfer at Country Club until Acton Meadows opened when he played here His main hobbles were woodworking and gardening When their home Hill Hall was bought in August 1057 he took great pleasure in the challenge of repairing and re storing the old and did most of the work himself After retirement in and heart problems setting In he couldn keep the home up as he would have wished so they sold it In 1973 and moved to a bungalow In Guelph Jack
