ago the OHA made several group changes In an effort to reduce the number of Junior groups under its jurisdiction from nine to eight With nine groups one group champion has received a bye at playoff niche in the harness racing industry The first course in 196B offered 10 four hour sessions at a cost of 100 The student horseman was instructed on how to handle a horse how to groom it harness it and Jog It Part of the course was devoted to the actual care of the harness horse how to bathe and cool it out alter a race and how to tend its feet and legs ana apply bandages This years course which will cost for 10 Saturday morning sessions will look at the same fundamentals It will be taught by Anderson himself a trainer driver and breeder of trotters and pacers He supplies all of the equipment needed for the course and recently pur chased two horses at a Bums fishing set for June 10 11 The fourth annual fishing derby sponsored by the Region Conservation Authority will be held at the Burns Nature Area Saturday and Sunday June and 11 from 30 am to The derby Is open to all age groups and prizes will be awarded for age and best catch obtained The Authority will be stocking the pond with eight inch to 24Inch rainbow trout just for this event Last year over people from ages to 80 attended the derby The prize winning catch was 19 and a half in Refreshments and hot dogs will be available Early birds will be treated to a free pan cake breakfast served from to a both days Registration is one dollar per person per day for a special twoday pass Children under and senior citizens will be
