and the New York Yankees On Friday September the third Annual Softball Tournament will take place at the M Z Bennett or Me KenzioSmith baseball diamond The teams in the tournament are from George town Milton Bishop Mac- Donald from and Acton The first annual soft ball game Acton won and the second one Georgetown won Each team will have nine boys and nine girls on it Games will take place from to3 the farm of C on Aug 23 at m This was the meeting for the quiz Russell Murray and handed out the quiz and the members completed it We discussed what we are going to do about a display at Milton Fair John brought his new tractor in the shop and talked to the members about it After that the meeting was adjourned JR DAIRY CALF By Ann The last meeting of the H Junior Dairy Calf Club was held at Jeff Nurse The meeting was opened with a quiz reviewing what we have learned from the meetings this summer Ken clipped a calf and Jeff explained what he was doing After that a group of calves was led in and each member had to clip one When we were all finished clipping the calves Jeff gave us a lesson on showing our calves at the fair When the meeting closed Jeff invited all the members and their Highs latest drama club play have already begun The play they have chosen to present on April 1079 Is a musical called Bye Bye Birdie Practicing and hard work will make next years drama club play Just as suc cessful as last years Student cards have been on sale Tuesday The cards will be needed to get into all dances at Acton High Talking about dances this Friday September Acton Highs first dance will lako place The Mug in co operation with the Student Association will hold a disc- Jockey dance open to all Acton High students with a student card and outsiders of Acton High will have to be
