committee for Opor Action government funded project designed to expose residents of to fitness and physical activity The department has received a grant under the Canada Works program and will hire three physical fitness experts to run the yearlong program A project manager will be hired at a salary of plus benefits along with two project workers at per week plus benefits The project has three Jectives first to increase the awareness of fitness and the benefits which may be derived by participation in physical activities in Hills second to Increase the amount of physical activity by members of the com thereby improving the general level of fitness In thcareaand third to develop a means by which community groups and agencies would be able to maintain the com awareness and involvement in physical activity programs upon con elusion of the project Purpose of the steering committee is to provide com input provide guidance and direction for the project The recreation department is looking
