junior show has been built from nothing to one of the best in the province Nino Says We feel we have a top notch junior show He feels a lot of the adult exhibitors showing at Acton today started out surprised the steer was able to swim the pond and at one point it was thought he would be lost In all the years of the fair Nino remembers last year was the first year a cattle show had to be can celled The heavy downpour caused cancellation of the Sunday events including The parade has also grown from a school child ren parade led by the Acton Citizen Band to the bands and entries today The parade was in sorry state when ten to 12years ago the school board decided it could no longer spon sor or organize the school childrens parade How ever IheLadies canvassing town for floats and entries setting the parade back on its feet The Ladies Committee take up the gap so often when we fall down remarks Nino When Nino was president the exhibit hall for handicrafts crops and baking was lost when the curling rink was demolished Two tents were rented for these exhibits till the arena became available two years later The Fall Fair Board raised so much money around to assist with the building the
