During our conversations on several occasions the question was asked What will become of the Stone School at Robert Little site when St Joseph students move to their new school in thespringof 1382 The Stone School is a separate building con talning five classrooms an office and two wash rooms It has a gas furnace three exits one being a fire escape for the second floor with excellent park Ing facilities However it would be almost im possible to separata it from the main building at Robert Little and the Public Library so it could be sold on public market Although this stone building is an old pioneer building the Smith re sidence In Acton s early days it la structurally sound and In good repair The Haiton Board of Education have maintained this building and used the classrooms for a few years and more recently have rented it to the Separate School Board If any school building has a right to be returned to the town for community pur pose3 this one Is the excellent example Ron not concerned with the various uses town might make of the building but I do feel strongly as do many other citizens in Acton that it should be put to useful purpose at no additional cost to the tax payers other than operating expenses I also feel that the town council Is proper body to negotiate with the Haiton Board of Education By acting now the town would have an excellent facility for com
