a Silver medal in Fours competition and the pair were eighth in Junior Pairs last week at the Canadian Figure Skating Championship held in Brandon Manitoba Kevin Parker of Campbellville place sixth in the Senior Men a competition feeling that this was the best he skated since last summer in international competition Both Susan and Kevin said the facilities were top notch and the hotel they stayed at was across the rood from the Keystone Arena Susan felt when she skated the short program in Junior pairs last Wednesday they skated very well Thursday in the long program Susan said they missed some of the small moves and it hurt in the standings Friday we skated in the Fours com pet i lion and skated well well enough to win the Silver medal She II take it easy now and skate in club carnivals until April Then she will begin full training for next year Susan said the competition was good ex and she was pleased with her skating for her first showing in the Canadians she Is hoping to repeat it next year Kevin skated in figures Thursday and placed six not he really practice figures that much riday he skated in the short program and made a costly error falling twice and finishing eighth which Kevin felt cost him at least fourth place finish Saturday Kevin skated in the long program and he feels the best he ever performed recciv a standing ovation and placing filth in the long program Overall his placing was sixth in Senior Mens competition Kevin says he II take it easy until spring and feels that he will be picked to skate in International Com petition this summer Kevin
