excellent cook according to guests and uses vegetables eggs and chickens and meats from their own farm i She also makes all the maple syrup Jams pickles etc The no vacancy sign goes up when four adults and two children have checked In The family likes to keep their operation small to provide a better home atmosphere And at that they are quite successful Stefanie Stefan of Oshawa spent a week on the farm recently and loved every minute of It She explained that from the first moment she sat down in the spacious old home she felt like a member of the family SI definitely plans to re turn next summer She never had a dull moment While the Steels pro vide meals and a bed I do not provide the entertainment Some of the guests such as Stefanie stay around the farm hiking painting and reading others use toe farm as a base for sight seeing in southern Ontario It is up to the guest to plan the daysschedule Some people the farm to get out of the dry and show the kids farm life Ken points out some guests just want to use It as a hotel And from that point of view he claims it is very cheap Bed and breakfast is a night The food is delicious the company great and the atmosphere friendly A holiday for an adult costs with three meals a Guests may come overnight for a weekend or a week or two all de pending on what they want The Steels cannot believe the good turnout they have when she remembers one of the guests who made her extremely nervous He to a chef in a large and Ruth jer cooking would not be good enough for a sfcnal However says Ruths mother Mrs Sntvety the cbef guests wanting to come back for a friendly country Christmas but Ruth says she had to turn them down Christmas is a time for ber own family and she ready to share that aspect of her life yet The Steels large country kitchen usually has the aroma of baking pies wafting In the air and the chatter of guests as they compare notes on their days activities Not a bad way to make a living the Steels
