you MtUwlaBwrk MY WORD by Leslie Middaogh Santa is kidnapped I thought it would be the best Christmas ever until one day I was walking to school with my friend Lisa She said that Santa was kidnapped 1 1 said You really dont believe In Santa Claus do you Lisa replied You dont believe in Santa Then who stuffs your stocking I said Youve got a point there Lisa Do you know how to get Santa back I asked Im not sure she said I think each child that wants Santa back has to pay SO cents and If the total doesnt come to the kidnappers will keep him I said to Lisa that I had cents in my penny bank and I asked if had some money think that Ive got cents said Lisa Now what do we do I asked Well weve got our cents why don t we tell our teacher and ask if we can announce it on the A great idea Isold so we did Everyone gave money except for two kids Henry Carlton and Lucy I didnt think that we would get their money anyway because they were bullies When all of the money was collected we went to Lisas house and counted It I said to Lisa You dont think that Lucy and Henry have anything to do with Santas disappearance do you Hey thats really a possibility said Lisa because when you were collecting the money I heard them say something about Santa disappearing Then why dont we go to their house and see if they are the kidnappers I dont think that would be a very good Idea because If we got caught we would be in deep trouble said Lisa Itisactianceweregolngtohavetotake Isaid So we went to the bouse and when we got there we looked in through the window and guess what There was Santa Claus in on old rocking chair We saved Santa saved Christmas and as for Henry well they got suspended from school for two weeks It ended as the merriest Christmas of all Review by Michelle G St of Is there a better way to Inform a school student body and staff of upcoming events current activities and personal in sights comments or suggestions than a school newspaper No there Is not I Any good newspaper tries to give accurate information and tries to provide pleasurable reading The newspaper does not have to deal with school alone It can also make references to town news and events it can even carry features on national and International news These extra features would be decided by the papers editorial staff Another important area of Information is entertainment we must be sure to appeal to all of our readership One of the most important things to consider is that the pa per does not have to be produced by the staff of the newspaper alone can lake part by submitting articles advertisements and by making suggestion on topics see a newspaper start In their school It can be helpful informa tive most enjoyable activity
