County Counselling Unit There an office in Georgetown downstairs at 130 St where the Health Unit located It is open Mon days Wednesdays and Fridays There another in the county building at Milton on Tuesdays and Thursdays They are staffed by Mrs Alna Dzidrums an attractive family counsellor willing to give assistance to anyone from the north end at the county Mrs says referrals are accepted from Dzidrums emphasized that the counsellor does not solve the problems people bring to them They must solve it themselves Her function is to enable people to cope with their own problems interpreting don seem know how to share their thoughts and feelings with others Mrs says It Is the big problem area and has nothing to do with class or station It Is general It generates feelings such as fear anger frustration Although the lack of com lions hits both men and women It is the women who respond most and are mora apt to call for help when they have problems they can seem to solve Heartening She sees the younger people as a heartening side to the story They are more aware of family social services and willing to seek help more open and not ashamed to seek opinions using the service for a sounding board Mrs believes this stems from the present system of education which familiarizes young people with guidance Stewarttown Memorial Service Held At St Johns Church The annual memorial service was held at St John Anglican Church on Sunday Canon J E Maxwell was In charge of the service and the men of the choir led the singing with Bob Gracey and Ken Grant supplying the music Afterwards a salad plate supper was provided Friends attended from New Toronto Rockwood Georgetown Hornby and the surrounding area The September meeting of Esquesing Women Institute was held at the she faces Her working day consists of private interviews as well as other duties involved In sorting out peoples problems She is most familiar with the Georgetown area because this Is where the bulk
