with the Boomerangs coming back In the second Denis played well for Boomerangs with Hack Craig Harrison and Paul Wilson the starts for Spurs MAJOR ATOM Golden Jets Tigers Greg Robertson scored two goals Tor the Golden Jets with Jamy Becker getting one Ted Maslach recorded the shutout 1 Hearts In a very exciting well played game the Thunderblrds the Hearts down to their first defeat of the year Paul for the Thunderblrds and Greg Mulr of the Hearts were outstanding with Paul scoring the only goal Magpies Tigers 9 This was a well played game with Gillespie scoring the only goal for the Magpies Mark played well for the Tigers The lie score Is a fair in dication of the play A Brawn scored for Ajax and James Beecker for the Golden Jets Alfred was the outstanding player for the Golden Jets while Jerome Stone had an excellent game for MINOR MOSQUITO Dynamos I Bobcats Ken McLuskey and Gord Tucker scored for to lead them to this win Andy Carter and Don played well for the Bobcats Gladiators Gladiators had plenty of stars In this one sided victory Dave Whitehead scored three goals Paul Clark two while singles went to John Sellar Ray Wallace Wilson and Chris Cunningham MAJOR Chargers to cam the tie Rockets a Kings I Ian Reeks with three and Mark Eulteneer with two accounted for all the Rocket scoring Greg Trimble Chris Clancy scored for the Kings BANTAMB Wolves Centmionit The Wolves played good positional soccer which payed off on the score sheet Ken with two goals wos the number one player while Tom Hastings scored In the second half to put game away Tom and Mark tied the game In the lost minute GIRLS Red Rockets Golden Spurs This was a close exciting game The highlight was Bowman scoring her first goal playing out of the net which she had played previously A friendly atmosphere perhaps contributed to their win over of Toronto It was encouraging for the players to see so many Georgetown soccer fans out for the contest to support the relatively young Senior team Both teams played hard soccer with Georgetown having the edge in play In the first half Robert Lister noted for his speed broke through for a scoring thrust at the mark but was hauled down from behind in a clearing attempt by a Lazio defender The ball was knocked to safety with the hands within the penalty area and Georgetown was awarded a penalty shot Ian made no mistake and buried the ball low in the left hand comer for the score At halftlme Georgetown held a slim lead came on strong in the second half and carried the play to Georgetown However stalwart defensive day by Thompson and reliable Peter Koch held at bay The Falcons reorganized them selves making good use of their wingers and this paid off at the 13mlnute mark when a threeway passing play culminated in a goal by Richard Mathews At this point the game got a bit rough and some questionable calls by the referee railed the ire of players on both teams Georgetown had two players ejected while bad one player sent off The
