and the game could almost be split Into two contests With lightening sparking in the distance and a heavy wetness in the air quite a few people wondered If the game would even get underway It did get underway but the rain did come halting the game after live full Innings with the Georgettes out In front of Hillsburgh The rain which had poured down gave way to a slight drizzle after about 15 minutes and the game was re commenced This was the second game and before it was over had picked up runs in two in nings to take the opening game of the finals lflS The Georgettes no doubt now wish that the downpour had continued unabated opened strongly by scoring three runs In the opening frame but the Georgettes made It obvious that they were there to ploy also as they notched two runs In the bottom of the first to trail Hillsburgh picked up their fourth run in the third inning but the Georgettes tied he game in the fourth frame as the rain started to fall The game hod to go at least five a semifinal game colled curfew time just as Mlssissauga were rallying There was no arguing wih the rules however and despite he ranting and fuming by he Mlsslssauga cam he game was awarded to Ingle
