three fish limit I am sure you would not take more than your fair share and blame It on me but I thought 1 had better clear It up now As you well know now by the photographs in the Herald last week of Harold and Jimmy of Mackenzie Drive the Coho arc here for sure I had a chance to talk with Harold last week and they sure are proud of Jimmys fish This Coho weighed In at 14 pounds and they are having it mounted by Don Lewis of Georgetown Those three fish were a kind of reward for taking the time out to Take a boy fishlna as the old savinH goes As it was the end of the summer and the young folk were heading back to school Harold capped it off with a trip for the big Salmon Harolds fishing buddy Tony Itcchichl took two more for a boat total of five fish and none of them hod lamprey scars The to learn that at limes even experts are not Atlantic Salmon have rays in Anal fin Chinook have 15 to 17 Coho have to IS Rainbow Trout 10 to Trout to 10 Lake Trout 10 11 I feel that there arqo many variables to use this method and another alternative is the colour of the mouth Fin I I Brown and Lake Trout along will Atlantic Salmon have similar mouths but are identifiable by their tails I The Chinook has an entire black mouth Inside the Coho j has the mouth part block and gums grey Rainbow Trout has an all while mouth Also the tails are somewhat different on fish and if you put these things together you will get sure identity of the fish you have It is not as complicated as you may think Lower Jaw If you get fish take some photographs and get them to me If you wish bring the fish to me or call me at 877- or Herald office at 8772201 We will get the photo for you And thats a promise Remember Lake Trout Is closed in some areas and Brook Brown and Lake Trout closed In many areas Fastball League and seven outoftown teams took part this past weekend in the Glen Williams annual Industrial Fastball Tournament The tournament was spread over two days and when the dust finally settled taste Sunday night an outoftown team Erin took home the championship silverware Erin defeated Perks in the championship game 114 For Perks It was something a bitter pill to swallow as they had to settle for the runnerup spot last year when they were downed by in the cham pionship final The local team which ployed perhaps its best tournament the year just ran out of steam in the crucial contest and from the fifth Inning on It was obvious that Erin had the game well In hand The luck of the draw went against Perks as they were forced to play three games on Sunday while Erin who gained bye into the semifinals played only two games The final result could possibly have been reversed If the bye had gone to Perks but as It wasfcob was forced to pitch in all three of Sundays games Perks second pitcher Wayne McNIven was bothered by a sore arm and the toll on his arm began to tell in the third in ning of final game To Erins credit they beat and Club Billiards to reach final and were probably the best balanced ball team in the tournament Their pitchers came through when called upon they showed power at the plate and the teams defensive work could not be faulted The big upset of the tournament occurred In one of Sundays semifinals as Club Billiards beat the Glen and their ace pitcher Jeff Haines on the basis of base runners The game was tied at the end of the regulation seven innings but when the base runner totals were tallied Club Billiards much to the delight of the team and few of those fans present were declared the winners Glen Industrial Tournament First Bound Perks
