the largest ever In history In August and also at the Convention In Winnipeg in June If you are a Herald reader you may have been confused by their last weeks heading that read Rink to Represent Zone I dont write the beading for either paper comrades We all know that it Chap pels rink that will be representing Branch 120 In the Provincial Play Champonships In February in Kingston It you ore an Independent reader they left off my last page with my comments regarding the curling of last weekend and instead put a paragraph of curling news written by Peggy and BUI from North Halton and Country Club As stated In their last paragraph their club was the victorious rink Not so comrades not so they played at North Halton and are members the winning rink was from Branch Georgetown of which they are members and this was a Legion Curling Championship not a club championship When they go to Kingston and hopefully on further they 111 be representing the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 120 Georgetown not North It Is the legion who pays they will be wearing Legion crests with Branch 120 on them comrades we are a busy branch and auxiliary There is always news for me to put in this legion column If you dont see the news In this column Its because It Is not given to me devote a lot my time to this Job and try to make It as interesting as possible for all members and their families and for anyone else who takes an Interest in reading what goes on in the legion and Branch With all the chairman in the auxiliary and branch It Is easier for all of them to get in touch with me rather than me run after them Get after the people responsible for newa If you dont see It in the column Friday January we will have Jim Stubbing ton and group out to entertain again They were in our lounge on Saturday and were extremely well received by our members and guests Jim plays piano and Roy Cock plays drums A friend of theirs Joe was vocalist Tor them for the evening Those of you who perhaps have frequented Bronte legion may have heard these fellows during the past six years where they have been playing on a regular joe was a volunteer singer when they had their type of Amateur night and was always a popular addition to the duo Their kind of music stems the 19401950 era and isnt overpowering to the point of blasting us out of the lounge Theyre booked for several more nights lucky for us J Pete Edge will play for us Sat Jan Geo and Brian on Friday Jan Boots will spin the discs for us Sat Jan 31st DAY Marls J on Saturday January at St Josephs Hospital Marls J of Georgetown Wile of
