Description
This hand coloured photograph from the start of the twentieth century shows fishermen on the bank of Twelve Mile Creek near the harbour area. For more information on the creation of the harbour at Bronte, please use the link to the Town of Oakville's Bronte Harbour website below the postcard image.
Notes
The stamp is of Edward VII wearing the Ermine Robes of State. He died in 1910 which helps date the era of this postcard and message. The postmark reads: "BRONTE J? ?5 ONT.".
