I thought I had a good chance. I played a lot at school and we have a pretty good program, she said. I was still really nervous, though, because I went to one of the last tryouts and the coaches didnt know me. A fullback, Labenski has been playing for three years, following in the footsteps of her older sib- lings. I have three older brothers, she said. They played and they loved it and they were going to OFSAA all the time. Im a bit of a tomboy and I like the contact. Shes an outstanding athlete and shes starting to see the field well, Valley said. Her fundamen- tal skills are strong. Greer, though a year younger than most of her teammates, sees significant playing time on the OTs senior squad. Shes lightning fast and she wants to get better, Valley said.
