Junior Rebel football team took a blow Friday when they lost Nelson 14 but in the eyes of Coach Kg tan 1 it was the best gome a Junior Rebel team has played in two The problem stemmed from two ploys where said the defense fell asleep but apart from that the team played well tree kept the ball moving and was consistent in his plays The first Rebel touchdown came from the sixty yard line when Kevin Greene recovered a fumble and ran the ball In The second TD was made on a counter ploy at the yard line and brought home by Jeff Skingley Playing well far the offense line were Alfle Mica lief and Dove Taggart Defensive strength can be credited to Ian McKeniie Jeff Hubbert and DcanScallcn who is also a top wrestler for the Rebels The Juniors play again tomorrow in Oak vl lie against Perdue Davie Pierce coming back off an Injury freeing Randy Robinson to strengthen ihe defense champ he is still the greatest and some people may believe it but I for one am certain that Mohammed All has had his da and all he is riding on right now is luck and money If last Thursday fight against Ernie Shaver bad been a true boxing match both fighters giving It all they had instead of playing games I may hold a changed opinion as to All position as World Champion As I saw fight All remains the champ only In the memories and pocket books or some boxing fans Ernie Acorn Shaver put up an excellent fight landlngsomestronapunchcstoAlls baby face Although Shaver did fall All games of playing the ropes and hiding his face he did show at most times his true reason far being In the ring to fight something All sorrowfully lacking until the lest few minutes of the fifteenth round Even what did he have to lose the fight was obviously going to be a decision Lasting the entire fifteen rounds Shaver looked and yes he was dazed in the final round but then be never gone more than seven rounds In any match Shaver looked stronger trimmer and faster than All In dodging and landing his punches He dldn t need to dance around the ring to evade his opponent he was ready and willing to Tight Had All been prepared there may have been a reasonable bout All was the greatest hat II admit too past as an athlete he now is a businessman and the A decision fight is what be needed to win for it seems his knockout days are gone As for Shaver he looks to have a good career ahead however short It may bo he la already S3 years old I doubt that All will ever meet with Shaver again for the next time could be deadly My advice All stick your pretty face In commercials but keep ft out of the ring
