Legal battles to dominate 1979 psychics By MAGGIE HANNAH Urn Id staff writer 1979 will be known as the year of the legal battles according to a local psychic Jessie of rural Milton Is affiliated with the New Age Centre in Burlington and appeared New Years Day on CFTOs Canada AM making predictions for the country as a whole Mrs previously made Ions for Ilallon Hi lis In and an overview of them appears on page two Mrs Zuesl says that 1979 will be one long aeries or legal tangles Tor Hills as one matter after another winds up In the law courts The reporters reaction was to remind her that such had seemed to be the pattern in Well this be even worse she joked It should be an interesting time for you people in the news media Mrs and Brampton based psychic Robert both predict temporary growth ahead in Halton 111 Us but fee It wont bring any lasting security lor the area since the next Tew years have a bleak outlook internationally ECONOMIC SLUMP Mr of in Brampton foresees a national economic slump around the end the first quarter being fell in Hills by July or so Therell be a lot of worry and concern because everything will be very slow he said but I think itll be because of the national economy That will to pick up again by summer and youll feel effects by September in Hills Mrs also sees moderate growth for the area but feels things will start go down by end of the year The Canadian economy will rise from April through August Mrs said but there will be a sharp downswing beginning in late and continuing through unlit 1983 It will be sort of minidepression but nothing like The cominp time will be hard for everyone Therell be a lot of uneasiness and upsurge of terrorist activities around the world beginning in late 1979 and continuing through lo 1961 or 1982 The only positive thing can say about this is when it ends 1983 people will have gal their heads together and a lot of things will be cleared up Its going be a bad four years but in the end it lot of things and Ihc world can go ahead Mr apparently saw a similar general because he was reluctant lo discuss saying he didnt like to spread and uneasiness In order lo give the psychics borne diretlion for their thinking The offered list of questions for them to ponder and give reactions on each On question of Focal Propertys proposed housing development south of Georgetown Mr saw no definite work beginning this year because of the company and the town It will however be underway by mid- The law suit he said would proceed but nothing will come of It financially He expects it will settle out of court by round November of this year Mrs Zuesl sees a compromise situation being reached between the town and Focal The development will go ahead she said but not necessarily this year enough I see the development eventually bringing in industry said is seriously looking at number of people in the area to determine if the work force will be targe enough to supply It Mrs first reaction to what would be happening with the Georgetown library was to chuckle over a picture of wet books I see wet books I dont know what it it Maybe theyll get a new roof If the old one leaking or something he said The town wont get a library this year how ever he said All will get is more plant There have been plans on It and therell be more he sold Mrs sees a new building in the old part of town but not until September or so It will lake a while yet she said When asked to predict the election time Continued on page YOUR MORNING SMILE Losing On Security offer prop- chattel til Ion- a so WEDNESDAY Home could well mark the end of a controversy that raged intermittently for the past six years amid allega tions of political favoritism and subsequent coverups What began as part of On tario Hydros long range for creating a grid system of connecting trans mission corridors to carry loclnc power to each corner of the province has since 1972 turned into a highlyconten tious battle over conflicting appraisals of hydro needs and consumption that has brought the provincial government Into tierce confrontation with a large number of voters from Bruce County to Re gion At stake at this weeks OMB clearly Because of Mr McKcoughs decision as energy minister however the proposed Bruce to Kitchener route was aban doned in favor of an alterna tive selected by the govern ment between Bruce and Mil- Hydro as a load centre where highvol tage power was needed Extra distance and extra expense is also a factor VARIOUS SECTIONS The various sections of the governments corridor route have been the subject of a long scries of hearings those con ducted by the Environmental Hearing Board and several expropriation officers among them Despite the govern ments contention that all en vironmental aspects of selected route through Hills were considered by the 1973 Solandt Commission though the ICG maintains that the Bruce to Milton corridor and particularly he section through Hills have yet to be adequately studied by an agency working Independently of the government and Ontario Hydro The ICGs requests for an independent study of the corri dor route coupled with en dorsements by municipal
