School next fall winter and spring The Hills Arts Council an umbrella organ la lion for the town many arts related groups made the official announcement Friday of Miss Forrester April 1WI concert here Canada a foremost contralto will headline A Musical Trilight the series of concerts being organized by the Arts Council and set to begin next October The first concert will feature the folk group Maple Sugar singing a variety of French and English folk songs and dances that have been collected from all over Canada For young and old country fans and concert goers Maple Sugar will present the unique spirit and sound of Canadian music The second concert will take place February 1 1981 and will feature the Tapestry Singers This ensemble of young Toronto musicians performs skits and music from theatrical productions dating from to the present time The concert will be at Acton High School On April Maureen Forrester who has sung with virtually every major orchestra In the world will perform at Georgetown High School Miss Forrester has the distinction of being the first major soloist appear in the People Republic of China while touring with the Toronto Symphony In January 1978 current proposed plan for the old Chapel Street school property includes the renova lion of the interior of the existing school building to accommodate apartments The plan also includes the building
