Goebelle was a delegate while Mrs Goebelle attended as an observer Hugh attended he voting session Friday as an natc delegate and sat at a table with Ontario Premier Bill Davis As the voting results were being tallied New Brunswick Premier Richard Hatfield spoke with Mrs asking how the results were going Hugh attended workshops do the constitution and on CanadaUS relations while Mr attended a technical session on econom ic recovery The delegates to the senior convention from the Bramp tonGeorgetown area were surprised by the results of the leadership vote Mr said Their predict ion had been that Mr Clark would win by to per cent Instead the vote was per cent In favor of Mr Clark He gave an excellent speech Thursday night high- key and everything Hugh said He should have given that one Friday Fridays speech didnt change any bodys mind He came out with a good speech but it wasnt what people wanted to In my view It doesnt affect his status as leader Mr Goebelle said The people who voted for a review are saying maybe we need a new leader for the next election Theyre not disagreeing with what hes saying In Parliament The youth convention was the Urges I ever held in Canada with
