Georgettes girls soflball teams tangled In an exhibition conical the first outing under game conditions tor both teams this year The youthful alettes swamped the Gcorg to the tunc of II 1 in the game which had both teams substituting freely Laura Wilkes Barb Curry and Betty Marchmenl the pitching duties for the winners while Janice Inglls and Melncr tossed for the Georgettes The have two other exhibition contests lined up lor the near future On Sunday they travel to Burlington and on Monday the girls will take on the Ingle wood Juniors In Ingle wood Their regular season schedule has not yet been finalized The alettes team roster has however been finalized and team members Include Leanne Margo Butler Caruso Barb Curry Debbie Hamilton Hololluk Joan Howat Janet MacKay Betty March Diane out and field and hit while she was riding the bench During her first year the coach complimented her on having the right stuff but combining choir practice with the Cantante Singers was hard for her lo Juggle This year when second base was left vacant Becky soon proved herself worthy of filling the void I love second base she says But the price of remaining a starter was costly Mid way through the season she colli with a fellow teammate and suffered facial injuries which kept her away from baseball for almost two Soon after her first dent she suffered from a painful bruised finger which has hampered her play but BECKY Becky has come back to the team each lime undaunted Becky still thinks of herself as a rookie and is sometimes In awe of ihe more seasoned veterans on team This year she
