was let in I walked around the theatre to check how the choir sound said choir director Dale Wood As far as sound and clanly of words they sounded well with the place empty However when the spec tators were comfortably scat they seemed lo absorb a lot of sound with their clothing and bodies Although the audience was extremely quiet and atten tive Ihc choir sounded loo soft and timid and at times it was hard pick up what the solo ists were singing The members sang lions from four Broadway musicals including choral excerpts and solos from Came- lot and My Fair Lady all written and composed by Alan Jay and Frederick The group looked very ele gant on stage with women in peachy brown long dresses and the men in brown tuxedos and bow ties They were accompanied on the piano by Joyce llayward and Mr Wood Mr Wood also managed to direct them by sweeping the a If with his free hand Young Archer had the children in the audi giggling as she pranced around on stage with her black straw
