North Halton Arc Angels floor hockey learn after they emerged Saturday from a five game tournament exhausted but happy carrying home a silver The Arc Angets arrived home from Thunder Bay Sunday after competing In the level III provin floor hockey chom for the men tally handicapped It was a heart breaking way to end Iheir one day marathon schedule of games because Midland defeated the Angels in a me- from behind victory The Angels were winning with one minute to go but Midland pulled their goalie and they scored three goals To offset finish Art player Mike Galbrelth won the MVP award and the play off scoring title The North reps participated against teams from Cochrane Midland Windsor and Cornwall The Angels earned a berth Ihe provincial championships by defeating Toronto and Brampton in the regional finals April The tournament was very well organized and Special Olympics played a key role by sponsoring each player for 1300 almost the entire cost or the trip coaches Wayne and Terry said The Angels won most of their games handily In Thunder Bay but one of their toughest rivals turned out to be Windsor whom the Angels defeat In first game and 54 In he second game The Angel loss to each sponsor a player on the team for the costs of sweaters socks and shorts The team is called the Arc Angels because most of the members work in Hornby at Arc Industries an adult workshop for the
