anniversary celebrations Slipping in old fami liar hits along with songs from their latest album brothers Larry Bruce and Brian enter tained a near sellout crowd Playing an upbeat but often mellow sound the brothers on melodies and ballads ranging from their childhood to tra veiling on the road and weekend rodeos Basically a country and western band the Good Brothers launched their first song Fox on the Hun which developed in a classic imitated by many bands The three brothers have adapted their music to appeal to a wide range of Including rock and roll traditional contempo rary and reggae The band played two onehour sets mixing in a varied pace of songs so that the never listened for too long to any one type of music The brothers have an easy going way about them Their antics and Jokes George town Is featuring the works of two artists beginning Oct Mary Lazier who does ceramics and Alan Perkins a painter will be at the gallery he opening day from until Alan Perkins will dis play a series or enamel drawings of early Ont doorways and mini paintings of the coast Mr Perkins has an architectural back ground and he has always had an interest and appreciation for early Ontario archltec He was prompted to produce this series in hopes of encouraging the preservation of such buildings The show is unique because the drawings are executed on porce lain enamel and sealed with a fine colorless glaze that renders them practically permanent Mary Lazier discove red her aptitude for working with clay in 1972 when she was 30 years old She studied ceramics at Sheridan and George Brown College and with the well known potter Sam Mollgun In 1979 she set up Spiral Pottery in But Toronto a non profit craft collective dedicated to furthering the craft of pottery by making available
