Georgetown Choral Society gathers in Knox terlan Church this week end for their Sing Gloria concert the per formances will be that much more colorful thanks to lour talented soloists and organist Azls Soloists Anna Burke Heather Dickson Pat Grasby and Van Dyke are experienced musicians and concert director Dale Wood has chosen particularly beautiful pieces from he concert which features the music of Antonio Vivaldi and English composer Ralph Vaughan The performers solo ists the Choral Society Itself and special guests the Georgetown Can tan Singers will be accompanied by the 25- year old Ms Ails on organ YOUNG STARTER A Toronto native Ms Ails began her studies In piano at the age of seven She studied organ under John and graduated a Tew years ago from Ihe Royal Conservatory of Music with an associate- ship in organ perform In 1961 she gra from the vers Ity of Toronto wi th a Bachelor of Arts de gree Ms Ails Is the direct or and organist at St John Anglican church in Weston and she sings with the St Pauls sing A lifelong resident of Georgetown and a member of the GCS for two years Pat Grasby is the contralto soloist for ng Gloria Dec 3 She con count back three generations in which members of her family have been with the St Johns United Church Choir CHARTER MEMBER Anno Burke is a char ter member of the Georgetown Choral Society She also per formed with the Hal tones a region wide or ganization now defunct which used to be under the direction of the late Ken Harrison Mrs Burke Is a member of the Holy Cross Church Choir Heather Dickson has been with the George town Choral Society since 1Q7S and is also an accomplished soloist She performed with the Orlanna Singers in her native Winnipeg has done radio work and managed her won choir in Montreal Van Dyke has been singing in choirs for about years beginning with Chris an Reformed churches in the Holland Marsh area of Bradford He moved to Georgetown IB years ago and has been choir director with the Georgetown
