Page B Wednesday October IBM Nancy Patterson weds Dykes Bride wore traditional chiffon gown Herald Special Sept at a beautiful marriage ceremony was held at Trini United Church in Acton to unite Nancy Marilyn Patterson and Kurt Dykes in marriage The bride wore a traditional gown of chiffon and white roaepolnt lace trimmed with seed pearls with an empire neckline and lilypoint sleeves She wore the headdress that her mother wore on her wedding day but had it trimmed in the matching rosepolnt lace of her gown and wore her great grandmother heirloom pearl broach a necklace The hemline of her gown fell into a trumpet train of lace tiers She carried a colonial bouquet of bridal roses ivy and The maid of honour Tracey Tyler was dressed in a dusty rose satin gown wlthascallopedneckline cumberbund waistline and lilly point sleeves similar to the bridal gown The bridesmaids Karen Coats a friend of the bride and Heidi sister of the groom were also dressed in the dusty rose and a Junior Bridesmaid side of a silver family candleabra which had been in the bride a father family for many years The lighting of the candles symbolized the two differ backgrounds of the bride and groom and Immediately after the vows were made the young couple lit the middle candle which represented their union and the other two candles remained lit to symbolize their individuality although they were now united in marriage The Lord Prayer was sung by Diane Immediately following the wedding vows and as Nancy and Kurt signed the register at the front of the church George Elliott played The Canon very beautifully
