results that happen here on an annual basis Your promptness dedication and genuine interest Is greatly appreciated and recognii It is difficult to comprehend what the sports coverage of The Herald would be like if all those volunteers decided against handing in the results of their respective activities Like a boat without oars it would be hard to move ahead Rather you d be drifting with no real direction However in part through the actions and dedication here I go using that word again of the many interested individuals out there The Herald is able to keep the readers informed as to what is happening in the sports world that is rich and abundant In both Georgetown and Acton It Is quite difficult to get out to all the athletic events that are held in Halton Hills annually But with your help we re able to keep both the competitors and fans alike Informed as to the weekly happen I am continually amazed with the level of proficiency and competition this area has In its athletic events Not many centres arc as rich in baseball soccer hockey and high school athletics and athletes as Halton Hills Is Just one look at the athletes both past and present bears that out very much Many Halton Hills natives are in the pro leagues of their respective sports with many more teams going on to local regional and provincial competitl and performing with the best Ontario can muster Even more impressive is that for a community this size a fair number of squads do more than just hold their own in those same competitions And with your help we re able to be Ih ere to capture the occasion when a Hill native or team captures the gold and proves they belong with Ontario best Looking back has been a real memorable year of athletics with many standout performances Even more there
