throughout the Terra Conser Area Children of all ages sat on the backs of toboggans while parents huffed and puffed dragging them to various events The jingle Jangle of horse bells pierced the winters chill as a Belgian horse team took passengers on a sleigh ride while overhead the whirl of a helicopter sounded as It took visitors for an trip In the Visitor Services Centre peo ple warmed cold noses and fingers with steaming cups of hot chocolate or coffee or grabbed a quick lunch before heading back out Into the sun shine Cries of Come on You con do It echoed through the woods as parents and went really nice she said We had about as many as we could handle With the sunny weather and last week heavy snowfall a lot of people came out to ski It was almost like the first weekend open for Mark Coe and one other member won the tandem ski After an exciting rematch to see whose toboggan would travel the farthest Shaye Crawford and her father won the toboggan race while Mark and gllles came in second turned out really good was stir prised Ten children on each end dug in their heels to see who could best the other team The finishing touch to the day came when eight yearold Jessica Kinch of Brampton was crowned Sweetheart Queen of the day The youngster was a busy athlete participating in the snowshoe race tandem ski race and toboggan race Mrs Powell said She was thrilled and
