only team in the team Bantam Division The locals faced off against Sud bury In their first game and lost a heart breaker In the last minute of an almost penaltyfree game After a two week layoff and having to adjust to the hardchecking style of the northern team the looked like they were going to tie Sudbury But after almost three periods of hockey without an Infrac tion Georgetown took a high stick tog penalty with 1 remaining With only 19 seconds left In the game Sudbury put the game winner past John Kate Uteris who played outstanding goal for Georgetown and won the games Most Valuable Player award Scoring for Georgetown was Chad Hartman with an assist to Trevor minor mix of players and the size and age difference combined with the very play was too much for Georgetown and they went down to a bard loss We were beat by a bigger and better team said coach Garry Hartman The boys played well but we Just werent going to beat that team Center Sean Guistlnl won the MVP award for Georgetown for his ag gressive play Game Three was an early morn ing affair and Georgetown came out grumpy The wanted to forget the thumping had taken the night before and they did It by beating Bantam and Tyke were forced to overtime to determine win ners The day was full of contrasts from the seemingly milelong rushes that the Tyke players undertook on the full ice surface to the fastskating bonecrunching checks of the MidgetJuvenile contest And no one will forget the over whelming support and admiration of the fans heaped upon the referees Wayne Pries Gerry Perkins and the
