Mlnltler of Health Jake Epp AttorneyGeneral Ramon and area members of parliament Otto and John MeDermld submitted to the Herald for publication Dear Sirs I understand that a free vote on abortion will have these options i abortion on demand until the day of birth a compromise of abortion on up until ie or weeks gestation Im not sure which length has been settled on or 3 abortion only If a mothers life or perhaps physical health is in danger Dont be tempted by the word compromise of option J SO per cent of the unborn children aborted In Canada each year are 12 weeks gestation and under Thats not even a mathematical compromise Considering that at la weeks the baby feels pain Its not a humanitarian compromise either Just because we dont see the agony doesnt mean Its not going on the baby has all Its the mart has been beating for almost two months the brain Is emitting waves and there are Iden tifiable band and foot prints already at weeks gestation abortion at this stage is not a moral compromise Even feminists agree no one wants an abortion Women Just dont want to be trapped May I recommend compromise In the area of support Support In child care for employees In Government and industry Sup port in child care at educational in stitutions Support In Job training Support in medical and dental benefits Support In getting financial assistance from fathers Support in conflict resolution education so here can be emotional and physical support as well Please save the children a Uvea and support their mothers Yours truly Grace Mi edema President North Hal ton Support close of walkways EDITORS NOTE The a letter directed to HUIa Mayor Rtni Miller and members of Dear Sirs We are writing In support of the residents of Dawson and Irwin Crescents who wish to have the walkway closed However why just one walkway Why not all the walkways Past councillors In their wisdom thought ft would be a good Idea at that time to provide for walkways to Interconnect to various streets parks etc However they were in an era whereby young adults still had respect for the property of others and the use of foul language was taboo In public As residents adjoining the Terry Court walkway we can attest to the problems such a walkway provide The beer bottles foul language noise at a m animal defecation garbage etc are everyday oc currences A fact of life is that both the town and the police are powerless to control if not stop these actions In that they cannot provide constant surveillance Many of the residents on Terry Court support the closing of he CedarvaleTerry Court walkway
