secretary for this spring session of the Club The topic for this club is All About Wool and meetings are held every Monday night from 7 to 9 m at the home of Mr and Mrs Paul Schwartz By attending the next meeting it is still possible to join this club With only seven members so far there is lots of room for more In the near future a course on Home Landscaping will be held in the village This will be an in teresting and valuable course for someone wanting to beautify the outside of their home as well as needing specific pointers on land scaping Please call Mrs Schwartz at before Feb 23 if you are interested in taking this course A total number of people interested is needed as Mrs Schwartz and Mrs Burnett will be attending a leadership seminar for this pro gram in Wellington County on Feb They need to know how many books and other course material to bring back with them A dozen peo ple have signed up so far There will be a community dance at the hall on March from to 1 a The menu is potluck and George will be the music man for the even The dance is sure to be fun Door and spot prizes will be in the nights activities The Ballinafad Hall Board be meeting March 1 The board now has a secretary Mrs Betty Andrews has very kindly volunteered her time for this posi tion Through the huge success of Robbie Burns Night the Senior Choir has donated funds to the Hall Board and to the church for the renovations being done there There are changes being made in the chancellor and choir areas Anyone interested in learning about China are welcome to join the UCW members at their 8pm of St Johns United Church of Georgetown and Glen Williams was held in Georgetown on Sunday Jan following a luncheon A special thankyou was given to the retinng chairperson Barbara Johnson and a warm welcome was extended to the new chairperson Lynn Ferguson The first board meeting of was Wednesday evening Feb I in the Glen following a potluck sup per A warm welcome was given to all new committee members The youth helped raise money for World Development by seeking sponsors for their 24hour fast Feb and 5 In respect to the fastens coffee hour after the 11 ser vice was an icewater hour At that time a film was shown called Guess Whos Coming to Breakfast The fast ended with a prayer vigil at St Georges Anglican Church This was part of a special program set up by local churches for Ten Days of
