undefeated after four county games as they at tempt to repeat as last years county champions Tim led the Major Atoms to a recent 50 victory over with two quick goals in the first period Coach placed Diardichuk on left wing to start the game hoping that Tims size would unbalance the Chinguacousy club strategy paid off as scored his first goal seconds into the game Brad Spears assisted on Tims second goal late in the first period After a scoreless second period Marc Boucher increased the margin to three goals on a pass from David Kotsos Brad Spears then earned his second point of the game slapping in a pass from Thorn on the point position Scott Truman ended the Georgetown scoring with a nifty goal shot into the top right hand corner of the Chinguacousy goal after receiving a pass from Scott In Brampton the Century s faced a much improved Brampton team Both teams kept the spec tators on the edge of their seats with end to end rushes close checking and tough detensive play Brampton took the lead in the first period and remained leading until Brad Spears scored on a pass from Tim and Paul Sandifer midway through the second period Brampton again took the lead m the third period but Paul Sandifer evened the score on a pass from Kevin and Tim With 5 21 remaining in the third period Thorn took a pass from Andrew Trent and drove a shot past the Brampton goaltender to give Georgetown a 3 2 win Three nights later the 21 travelled to and met a determined Dundas team that refused to quit Although Georgetown dominated the game play they were unable to score It was not until pass from David Kotsos and David Boere The remainder of the period saw tight checking and exciting play Shortly into the third period Thorn increased the 21 lead to on a shot from the point position David Boere assisted on the play Brampton fought back and decreased the Georgetown margin to with just four minutes remaining A goal by Scott Lahey assisted by David and Scott Truman with only two and one half minutes left gave Georgetown a twogoal cushion and dashed Bramptons hopes of victory The Century Major Atoms face and Stoney Creek after the Spring Break If they are successful in both games
