spree of stolen vehicles that started three and half months ago A 24yearold Acton man will ap pear at a bail hearing Friday Nov 3 in connection with the theft charges and a charge of posses sion of stolen property On July someone stole an 11000 van parked on Nelson Cres cent in Acton and drove it to Whit by where it was abandoned The next theft occurred Sept when someone stole a Mer cury parked in the area of Crescent Street in Acton The culprit drove the vehicle to Erin Township and left it in a ditch Ponce say someone stole a Halton Hills taxi cab that was left unlocked and running on Mill Street in Acton Tuesday afternoon The person drove the vehicle to the area of Sideroad 20 and Town Line where it was abandoned Police found the vehicle off the roadway smashed up against a hydro pole Charges of leaving the keys in the ignition were laid in connection with this particular incident A 49- yearold Georgetown man was charged with leaving the keys in the car Later that afternoon someone stole a Ford van from the area of Sideroad 22 and the Town Line and drove it to Milton The car was then abandoned after being involv ed in a twocar collision Police made the arrest Wednes day morning
