subscriptions from several loca tions in the Metropolitan Toronto area during the first few months 1989 Roberto Paul was also charged with counts of double doctoring after obtaining prescrip tion drugs from locations in the Hills and Burlington areas during the same time period But he wasnt found guilty on any of these charges police say Mr was recently sentenced to a year in prison and a year of probation in connection with the several counts of double doctoring occurring in the Metro area locations other than Halton Region police found Mr with prescriptions for C a codeine that came from pharmacies in areas including Halton Hills Burlington Newmarket and Mississauga Regional Police conducted their investigation during a two- week period last May In a double doctoring procedure someone receives prescriptions for narcotics to treat bogus illness police say Under the Narcotics Control Act anyone seeking prescriptions must inform the physician of any drugs prescribed during the
