driving into the high schools says Constable Scott Mason of the Halton Regional Police traffic unit Drivers between the ages of and accounted for just over 47 per cent of the 23 fatal accidents in the since the bureau s incep tion in 1984 but also because the first four months in a year are usually recognized as slow periods for serious accidents People tend to drive more carefully during the winter he said Dry roads probibly give people a false sense of seem ity The task force which was com posed of two officers from each of the Region districts and two of ficers from the traffic bureau showed no mercy to motorists caught speeding during tit months of September and October The task force concentrated its efforts on the rural roads north of Highway in the kilometre per hour speed zone
