travelling east on Guelph Street near Rexway Drive when five males in a pick up truck began to attack the driver verbally When she stopped the car one of the men from the pick up truck got out and smashed her windshield with a shovel The damage Is estimated at Youths arrested Two youths were arrested following the investigation of the theft of liquor a camera end an antique sabre between a m and 2pm March from a Bower Street residence All the property was recovered police say Police have charged the two with break and enter Car damaged A 1986 Ford parked on Willow Street in front of the owner s residence was walked upon and had its windshield smashed bet ween 30 March and a m March police say The culprit or culprits walked on the hood of the car denting it and then smashed the windshield causing approximately damage Window smashed A 1979 Chrysler parked outside an Acton tavern had its wind shield smashed between mid night and a m March 18 The driver was attending the tavern when someone broke the wind shield The driver believes he knows who did the damage and does not wish to press charges police say Waistcoat stolen A suede waistcoat was stolen from a car parked at Club in Norval police say Between 30 m March 16 and 1 am March 17 the victim purse was rummaged through and her keys taken while she was in the bar The person responsible went into a 1988 Toyota and with diamonds on a gold band worth an engagement ring with a quarter karat diamond and two smaller diamonds in a heart set ting with a gold band and a mat ching wedding band with three smaller charged with following too close The Ford received light damage and the Cadillac was moderately damaged Highspeed chase through Halton Hills A high speed chase down Mountalnview Road Ninth Line has resulted In numerous charges against two men from Milton At approximately 45 March Constable was operating a radar device at the intersection of Mountainview Road and Sinclair Avenue in Georgetown A an investigation the police caught and arrested another man for causing persuit speeding and other Highway Traffic Act offenses Abandoned house burns down An abandoned farm house scheduled for demolition burned down in the early hours of March on Maple Avenue in Georgetown The house is located just east of the Georgetown section of the Halton Hills Fire Department The fire started at approx 130 am and totally engulfed the house Halton Regional Police say Police say the cause is pro bably not accidental but the cause is still undetermined The fire department let the fire burn because the and the Halton Regional Police in Milton are continuing their investigation to a house entry in the Milton area that resulted in the loss of jewellery computer equipment a stereo television microwave and several firearms During the last week of December 1989 the owners of a home situated on the Town Line south of Sideroad Acton were away for a short vacation During their absence the home was totally engulfed one building of Mushrooms on Moun tainview Road in Georgetown the Halton Hills Fire Department says The fire department was notified of the blaze at a m March 18 by a man who noticed flames A vacant building scheduled for demolition was completely burned down leaving only a concrete block wall Halton police say Another smaller fire which started in a second building was detected and put out by the fire department police say The second fire appeared to be deliberately set because wood was plied up against a door in the same way a bonfire would have been created police say Four fire and rescue vehicles from Georgetown responded to the blaze under the leadership of Fire Captain Bruno Martina Acton also sent a truck to stand by in case help was needed The firefighters took
