Penaltyfree hockey Program hits new heights Penalty Free Sweepstakes have scored big for the third con season Once again the program which took place between Jan 31 has been a resoun ding success The program initiated by the Hockey Development Centre for Ontario and supported by Petroleum Canada and the Ministry of and promotes safety skills and sportsmanship in the game of hockey at the amateur level the Province of Ontario The program continues to grow in popularity as this year contest attracted over 3 600 entries from teams throughout the province Duplicate Bridge Open Duplicate Bridge competition Monday afternoon at Georgetown Branch 120 Royal Canadian Legion on Mill St Archie Dash combined with Karl Tobiasfc to claim Number One winners honors The Number Two winners spot went to the team of Helen Hyde and Blayne Hillock George Sargent and Rene March tied with the team of Harry and Norma Maynard in the Number Three winners position Open Duplicate Bridge competition is held every Monday afternoon at the Georgetown Legion on Mill St starting at 1 p Contract Bridge competition as part of the Ontario Senior Games has been scheduled for April starting at p m at the Softball League is holding a registration day today Saturday from 11 a m until 2 p m at the Cedarvale Park Community Centre The league is open to girls under age as of May Girls not registering today will be charged a 5 late registration fee but there is no guarantee of a place on a team for players registering late The 1990 season fee has been set at per player or per family The registration fee
