Haltons Rep Mac Master chaired this part of the program Sandra addressed the group on her chosen topic The Family Farm Following Sandras speech Julie Merry Queen of the Fur row crowned the new queen then called on this cor respondent who presented the Wilson Trophy as well as a footed crystal bowl Sandra will be representing at this years IPM in Brant County near Paris The dates are Sept 1822 The theme for this years IPM is Paris in the Fall Sandra was Haltons Dairy Princess and is a past president of Student Council She is presently attending McMaster University in Hamilton and hopes to be a teacher The members of the Brampton West Womens Institute met at the J J Max Restaurant for lunch June 12 After a delicious lunch the ladies proceeded to the Peel Heritage Complex on Wellington St to continue the meeting In a bright spacious meeting room Archivist Snarron welcomed the members and made available the old Branch Books which date back to The display now being shown at the Museum is of the Depression Era President Lois opened the meeting with the Opeing Ode and the Mary Stewart Collect Secretary Mary Garbutt read the minutes of the May meeting and the correspondence The Roll Call Memories of the Depression was answered by all The minutes of the Charter Meeting and the 1st monthly meeting of the Branch were read by Ina Terry to help set the theme of the meeting The ladies then toured the Museum displaying articles that brought back many memories of another time Kitchen utensils fashions toys and a butter chum like one used by many were some of the articles that are exhibited A Dentists of fice once owned by McLean is also on display and painfully remembered by many We look forward to September and another year of interesting I meetings Have a good sum Comedy
