fishermen wet their lines in Canadian waters This in augural event is open to all Cana dian Sportfishing Association charter members Details of the worlds biggest and most speciesvaried sport fishing contest were announced at a media conference hosted by Canadas two top sportfishing per sonalities Henry publisher and executive director Canadian Sportfishing Com munications Network and executive coordinator Canadian Sportfishing Com munications Network There are two distinct com petitive divisions catch and keep and live release with individual award winners to be declared in each division throughout all six regions encompassing some 20 dif ferent species of sport fish found in abundance in Canadian waters They include largemoath bass smallmouth bass white bass walleyeyellow pickerel yellow perch northern lake trout trout rainbow trout brown trout grayling arctic char salmon coho salmon salmon crappie channel catfish and sucker Based on the geographical availability of the 20 different species within the six specified regions British Columbia and its coastal waters Alberta Saskatchewan and Manitoba Ontario 4 the Great Lakes and its tributaries Quebec the Atlantic provinces
