One pitch ends Hoosier hopes of making tournament finals THE HERALD Wednesday July IfM Page 1 The Firestone Halton Hills Hoosiers came within one pitch of sweeping their division and ad vancmg to the championship round of the Niagara Falls Teddy Bear Tournament on the weekend The Hoosiers won two games but lost to the hosts when the Niagara hitter singled with two outs and a two strike count against her in the bottom of the seventh The visitors had been leading but the next Niagara batter tying the score The Falls won the game when a pickoff throw hit their player in the back and bounced
