at the Peel Memorial Hospital Brampton Beloved wife of Bruce Thatcher of R and dear mother of Alan and his wtfe Jane R and Edgar T of Dear grand mother of Adam and Becky That cher of dear sister of Ross Doughty of Guelph Yvonne Theaker of and predeceased by Grace Dickieson Vera and Bruce and son Edgar moved from Toronto some years ago and restored the old farm house on the Ninth Line Vera loved the farm life and shared the farm chores and every day work that goes with farming She looked after the cattle and sheep in both barns when her hus band Bruce had his heart bypass as Chester Early an uncle was unable to look after the farm as a result of similar heart problems However ill health 16 months ago forced her give up the farm duties Vera found hard to do But she never complained nor did she want sympathy Vera loved life and her outgoing personality made people feel good to be in her com pany Before ill health Vera was a school bus driver and when she retired the school children asked her to drive them to Wendy s where they paid for her lunch and presented her with a small token of appreciation Vera was a valued member of the Com Club Canon J Maxwell a friend of the family conducted the funeral service on Sept 1st from the chapel of the J S Jones and Son Funeral Home Georgetown Son Edgar gave the eulogy for his mother Interment was in Cemetery Guelph The many floral tnbutes and Cancer Society Donations on behalf of Vera were an indication of the News By KAY WILSON Norval Correspondent miration and esteem the relatives and community had for Vera That cher their Sound The county princesses com in their own county last year before heading for the C N The preliminarys included three nights with princesses each evening Ten young ladies continued on to the semi finals and from there five princesses vied for the covet ted Ontario Dairy Princess crown Kelly is the daughter of Barry and Aileen Little of Markham and has a large family connection in the Georgetown and Brampton area as well as the Pinegrove Community where her mother was bom and raised Kelly s grand parents Alan and Jean fanned at R R before returning to Brampton J Kelly was presented
