HaltonPeel MP Garth Turner has resigned his position as chair man of a federal government stan ding committee established to in vestigate whether manufacturers will pass on their savings from the Goods and Services Tax to the con sumer He plans to spend more time speaking with the people of his Fidinand Canadians Chairing a committee takes an awful lot of time and the majority of that is spent arguing about issues said Mrf Turner Ive concluded that during the next two years I want to spend my time proposing more policy changes and I think I can ac complish that if I spend time speaking with leaving the hotel Mr Boyce drove bis white Ford van to Tim Hortons at John and Jackson Streets where he picked up two coffees and was joined by a male A short time later the van was seen on Jackson
