favorite in town This street is ready for the festive shopping rush of the next weeks The lights and decora tions are up on the trees and lamp posts and red baskets with small green spruce trees stand In front of the shops Its such a hap py Inviting scene that I decided on a warm sunny day last week to walk up and down the avenue in pursuit of tempting specials the merchants on Main Steet might have assembled for you I started at McCarthys Olde Tea Room It was almost lunch time and the place delicious Debra McCarthy told me that she will serve dinner every Thursday and Friday even ing from Dec 6 until Christmas in addition to her daily luncheons and teas to accommodate couples who long for preseason romance Across the hall in My Genera tion I found signs that announc reductions of 20
