the road and came away with victories in Milton and Faced with a manpower tage coach John Andrews brought up Stephen Gibbons for both games Gibbons was one of the key performers on Saturday scoring the first and last goals in a convincing 7 win over Milton Assists went to Cameron Hunter Michael Crawford and David also had a big game as he scored on a Steven Smith pass in the first period and followed that up with an unassisted effort in the second Andrew Beavan played a strong game and contributed two to the cause Brown rounded out the scoring when he took a pass from Beaven and home a wrist shot at the end of the first On Sunday the team faced another problem when centre Allan t play due to an injury Steven Smith moved up to centre and left Crawford hunter Rick Clark to man the They were up to the challenge helping their team beat lam borough 7 l As for Sm he had a great n as he scored two goals and was a threat he touch the puck Assists went to and Ryan Boudreau had another big game as he red his third goal of the weekend to go along with three assists Stephen Gibbons used his big shot to score his third goal of the weekend as well on a Brown pass Brown kept his own scoring streak alive when he con verted on passes from Gibbons and Papadopoulos Beaven completed the scoring as he counted his eighth and ninth goals in the past four games Brown and Gibbons assisted on the first and the second was an end to end effort after he had picked up loose puck behind his own net Coach Andrews was much more pleased with this effort as the boys pressed until the final buzzer and only a momentary defensive lapse cost Kevin Humeniski his shutout In Saturday game Scott Herbert was not at his sharpest but he did play welt enough to record his second straight vie tory Brick Midgets take five points Canada Brick Hur Midget AAA took five of six points this past week Play started on a peculiar note as only three players showed up to play in Georgetown Tuesday On Thursday Hurricanes travelled to Burlington and played a sloppy game They were still able to come out of it with a point as they tied 55 Burlington scored the only goal of the first penod Early in the se Robbie Crowe stripped the puck from a Burlington defender scored on a wraparound to tie the game An errant cleanng pass by Halton s Ryan Peddle left a Burlington defenceman with a wide open cage to make it With the score 3 the Ken Kosziwka show got into high gear as the Canada Brick forward scored four times for the Hur Kosziwka took a pass from Mike off the boards and scored to make it He then came from behind the Burlington goal and tied the game with an unassisted marker Burlington took a lead before Kosziwka assisted by Jake and Damien Zubien knotted the score to finish the scoring in the second period With remaining Kosziwka scored from the slot after a fee from McPhail behind the net to give their first lead of the game Burlington tied the game with 4 remaining to make the final score Canada Bnck hosted Hamilton in Saturday and came up with a defensive gem winning 30 Pat Hennenberry scored an unassisted goal in the first period from an Mike Cox made it early m the second Playing a strong game throughout Piazza scored the final goal assisted by Crowe and Sean Juistim less than a minute later Figure Skaters Float Egg Nog Jog on Dec 16 The Credit Valley Conservation Authority Georgetown Track Club and Dairy is calling on all runners to register for the eighth Annual Egg Nog Jog held at the Terra Cotta Conservation Area 30 am Sunday December 16 1990 This a 10 km run for fun with all proceeds from the event going to the United Way says CVCA Community Relations son Robert Peace Its a great time for the runners and their families who are welcome to come and enjoy the event says Peace We have prizes for the winners and many door prizes for those who have participated Dairy Is once again supplying the traditional Egg Nog for after the race Light snacks and other refreshments will also be sup plied The run will feature professional timing with a computer printout available after the race This year we are trying to promote festive jogging wear to add some Spears completed the hat trick by put ting the biscuit into the basket on a fine solo effort to give Georgetown a lead Bodanis Bruins Major won a pair of rep hockey games at the end of November beating both and Oakville On Nov 22 the travelled to Terry Miller Arena and defeated the Chinguacousy team on their home ice Scott opened the scoring for Georgetown in the opening seconds of the game assisted by Brad Spears and Gary McLean With the score tied 1 1 in the third period David Kalbarski gave Georgetown the lead at the mark assisted by Gary McNeely and Brad Spears Two minutes later Spears ched the game and gave the local club a lead Spear goal was assisted by Scott Lahey and Thorn On Nov Oakville came to Alcott to meet a re ju vena ted Bodans Bruins club fresh from success Oakville opened the scoring early in the first period but Brad Spears evened the score at i l on a goal assisted by Kevin and rookie Jaime Georgetown then scored three unanswered goals the second
