introducing fresh air into the classrooms was required par ticularly winter when windows are generally kept closed The VanEE ECM En vironmental Control Module unit selected was easily retrofit into the existing portables These units meet the fresh air re quirements of the classroom and combine excellent heat recovery and programmable thermostatic controls to minimize the cost of heating this air Ontano Hydro s interest in this project lies in the energy of the new ventilation units By installing units with a heat recovery option which preheats the incoming fresh air with the warmer exhaust
