on the late show Ship wrecked is a pleasing excursion into well known territory the old young and ends- upon a desert island fighting pirates scenario Despite the predictable plot the movie is solidly entertaining worthwhile fare for the whole family Stian Smestad the spelling may be wrong plays Harken a boy whose father returns from sea with a bad leg and no money In order to save the family farm he takes a commission as a ships boy and leaves the lonely fjords of Norway for warmer climes He is meant to serve two years before the mast The Norwegian crew is good to him all is well until their rival in England There tbey are Joined by Captain Howell Gabriel Byrne a captain of the Queens Navy who is supposed to protect the ship from pirates as bead into the south seas Lit tle does anyone know that Howell is dead and in his place is the notorious Merrick a pirate with a bloody past and a mission to ac complish He soon kills the cap tain and takes command of the ship Can save Us mates a stowaway and himself from cer tain death This being a Walt Disney movie you know be will Shipwrecked comes to a satisfy conclusion with some good thrills along the way The acting is all right with Gabriel Byrne as the only known name and be is suitably menac ing as Merrick The scenery Is wonderful and the action fast paced This is a film for the ly a much more rewarding ex than the recent King Course will be held at Counsellors sought by Easter Seals The Easter SEal Society is looking for special people to be camp counsellors next summer There are five Easter Seal Camps for physically disabled children ages 7 to 19 The camps located in Port Col borne London Perth and Kirkland Lake are divided into twoweek sessions from June to August 24 In all campers attend and we are looking for young men and women who are mature and caring bright enthusiastic and fun People who would like to help a child have a great holiday The Easter Seal camp counsell ing experience points the way to a career in medicine nursing rehabilitation or social services It is invariably one of the best awareness experiences in community involvement and wider horizons Easter Seal camps offer specialized training salaries and bonuses Interviews will be held after an information session and audiovisual presen tation Candidates will be notified of the results within two weeks Interested applicants age
