the boys a few good pointers on taking penalties We hope all the Black Machines have a great summer and are reved up and raring to go come September Pike fishing derby The Credit Valley Conservation Authority with the cooperation from the Orangeville Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first an nual Pike Fishing Derby in the Reservoir on May The purpose of the derby is to promote the fishery of the reser voir while at the same time en couraging the anglers to turn fish in live so they can be transported to other areas to develop other ban angling opportunities and also to reduce the competition between the Pike and the Bass of the reser voir The hope is that the Bass will eventually become more abundant reducing the threat the Pike are posing to the Trout populations down river The reservoir while not open to gasoline powered boats offers ample fishing opportunities from shore electric powered crafts row boats or canoes It is hoped that this pilot project will be a success
